Phase of Establishment

Considering the needs of our country in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies, within the framework of our University's Faculty of Engineering's experience in “powder metallurgy” and “additive manufacturing”, with the support of the Ministry of National Defence and Presidency of Defence Industry, the establishment of the “Additive Manufacturing Technology Application and Research Center (EKTAM)” was started at the beginning of 2013 and the center was established on 27 October 2017.

Since its establishment, Additive Manufacturing Technology Application and Research Center (EKTAM) has been developing new generation additive manufacturing technologies and contributing to university-industry cooperation by conducting scientific, technological and applied research.
